Before creating or importing your first asset in AssetIT, it is mandatory to set up Asset Models. These models act as foundational templates that define the key attributes and categories for managing all assets within the system. |
1. Create Asset Models
At the AssetIT sidebar, scroll down to Settings > Choose Asset Models. This will take you to the Asset Models page.

| Navigate to Settings in AssetIT > Asset Models |
On the top right of the Asset Models page, click on  Image Added button to initiate the process. You will see a table that instructs you to use the sample CSV file for data preparation.
 Image AddedOnce you finish preparing your data, import it into the app. You will then be taken to the Data Preview stage. In the Data Preview stage, the app will highlight any fields with errors, allowing you to make adjustments directly. To modify data information, click on the Edit button. You can also download the most recently modified data for further customization by clicking the “Download” button at the bottom of the list. |

You can manually create each asset model individually. Here's how: In the Asset Models section, click the Image Added button at the top right of the page. You will be directed to the Create New Asset Model page. Begin by filling out the mandatory fields, and complete additional fields as needed.
