Moving Jira Data to a Different Location

As AssetIT supports Data Residency, you can now request to have your in-scope data pinned to a new location. This may be required to comply with company data policies or to meet regulatory requirements in industries such as finance, government, or healthcare when operating in a cloud environment.

The default location for Jira data is the US, but Atlassian may change this at their discretion.

Following these steps to set up change data location:

  1. In the Products table, click View details next to the product you want to move.

  1. A new screen will appear. Review the details about the steps required to move the product. Then, click the image-20240926-080414.pngImage Removed button.

  1. Select the location from the menu where you want to move your product and click image-20240926-080904.pngImage Removed.

  1. Review the apps and click the Next button.

Canceling a Data Residency Move for Apps

On the Product Details page:

  • Check the Eligible tab.

  • Find the app for which you want to cancel the Data Residency move, and click image-20240926-082333.pngImage Removed.
