To ensure smooth collaboration and maintain our content's quality, we ask all our contributors to adhere to the following guidelines:

Content Quality and Originality

1. Relevance: Your article should cater to our audience, primarily software developers, project managers, and IT professionals. We're looking for content that aligns with our expertise in Agile Methodologies, Project Portfolio Management, and ITSM solutions. (Jira topics related will be an advantage.)

2. Originality: Your submissions must be original, not previously published, and no duplication of our topics to avoid conflicts.

3. Length: Must be between 800 and 1500 words.

4. Image & Multimedia: 

• Must include at least 1 relevant image or video to complement the text. 

• Ensure you have the right to use them or opt for royalty-free sources. 

• Images should be in WebP format, at least 1000 pixels in width, (exception: graphs/figures can be smaller). 

• Please add alt text if needed.

Writing Style and Tone

1. Tone: Engaging tone that reflects DevSamurai's approach to making complex technical concepts accessible.

2. Clarity and Structure: Your post should be clear, concise, and well-structured, using short and summarizing headings and subheadings to improve readability.

SEO Requirements

1. Keywords: The focus keywords have not been previously used on our website; they should be found at least 5 times throughout the article. (Please send your keyword to our SEO team for review before starting to write)

2. SEO Title: Include the focus keyword and ensure it’s no more than 10 words.

3. Slug: Should be concise and include the “focus keyword".

4. Meta Description: Include the “focus keyword" and should be no more than 30 words.

5. Internal links: At least 2 internal links to our relevant blogs/pages. 

6. Outbound links: No more than 3 do-follow external backlinks to your site.

Submission Process

Step 1: Topic Idea Submission

Send your guest post proposal for our team to review, including Blog Topics with Main Keywords (can be more than 1 topic for consideration)

Step 2: Topic Approval

We'll ask you to send us a Blog Post outline in a Google Doc. Our team reviews your outline, provides feedback as appropriate, and gives you the go-ahead to start your draft.

Step 3: Review Process

Please send us the Google Doc draft for review and feedback via email: annie.le@devsamurai.com (Ms. Annie) 

Step 4: Publication

If your blog post is accepted, our SEO specialist will adjust and re-format it for SEO purposes. We will inform you of the publication date and promote it across our social media (Facebook, LinkedIn).
