Status labels are used to describe the state of an asset. You can add as many status labels as you’d like. Each status label will have one of four characteristics that describe the state of assets with that status label.

Manage Status Label

In order to manage Status Labels, go to SettingsStatus Labels

Here you can see a list of all the Custom Fields. Here you can create new ones, search, export, and edit or delete existing ones

Create a new Status Label

Click on Create New to go to New Status Label screen

Fill in Name, Status Type and select a Color for it.

Status Label color will be used in Dashboard chart color and it is sticked to that Status Label

Status Types

    Definition: An asset in the

    status is available for use. It can be checked out or assigned to someone for deployment. These are assets that are in good condition, and ready to be put to work.

  2. Status

    Definition: This status is used for assets that are currently unavailable for checkout or deployment. An asset may be in this status because it's in use, under maintenance, damaged, or simply not available at the moment.

    • Example: An asset marked as

      means it's occupied and cannot be assigned to a new user until it is returned or released.

    Definition: An asset marked as

    is in a temporary state. It could be waiting for approval, awaiting further processing, or still in the acquisition phase.

    • Example: A new laptop that has been ordered but is yet to be delivered or configured might be marked as

    Definition: The

    status indicates that the asset is no longer in active use and has been removed from the deployment pool. It is essentially retired from service but may still be retained in the system for record-keeping or auditing purposes.

    • Example: A retired piece of equipment, such as an old computer, that is no longer in operation would be marked as

How to Customize Status Labels

Step 1: Access the Status Labels Setting.

  1. Navigate to the Settings section.

  2. Look for the Status Labels option in the settings menu and click on it.

  3. Click on image-20241203-042137.pngImage Added to initiate the process.

Step 2: Modify the Labels

  1. Next to each status, there will be a field where you can edit the label text. Enter the desired name for each status label according to how you want it to appear in your organization.

    • Example Customizations:

      • Deployable → "Available for Checkout"

      • Undeployable → "In-use"

      • Pending → "Waiting for Approval"

      • Archived → "Retired"

  2. Once you’ve made the changes, click the Save or Apply button to save the customized labels.

Step 3: View Your Custom Labels in Action

After saving, return to your asset list or asset details page. You will now see the updated status labels reflected wherever asset statuses are displayed.
