Generic Resources in TeamBoard TimePlanner are flexible placeholders used for task planning and resource management. They can represent non-physical entities (e.g., virtual team members, placeholders for unassigned work) or physical assets (e.g., equipment, tools).

They help managers:

  • Optimize workflows by scheduling tasks without specific assignees.

  • Maintain efficiency by preventing project delays.

  • Support flexibility for easy task reassignment as projects progress.

Generic Resources ensure smooth operations and effective task management throughout all project stages.

Scope

Generic Resources are designed with a global scope, allowing them to be shared and utilized across multiple teams for greater flexibility and collaboration.

Permissions on Generic Resource

To maintain consistency and control, management permissions for Generic Resources are restricted to only App admin and Team admin.
